Just an entry inspired when I was bloghopping to Rev’s.
Warning! This entry could be the most corny post you’ll read here though pretty much every post here is kinda cheesy lolz~
Back in 2002 I got my first mobile phone. Yes I have a phone but I got no mobile number. Particularly because at that time prepaid starter pack cost alot. Averagely RM250 per number and that price tag is insane for a secondary school student like me. Got it from my uncle. Couldnt remember the make but its limited edition version got Siti Nurhaliza initial on the flip cover. Phone got lost actually although i securely hid it inside my wooden locker.
Then after SPM I finally got the courage to ask for a mobile phone from my mother. During the school break saved up some money and I did some survey. So the first mobile phone i bought is the Nokia 3530

The simcard? I took my sister’s number. Lulz. Particularly because my sister got too many number and I kinda like the number arrangement. Kudos to my sister for having a great skill in obtaining a nice number huhu.
Had a blast with this phone, while most of my peers still have black and white pixelated screen, I am on the cutting edge with a 256 colour screen phone and polyphonic ringtones~ Remembers back the time when I was learning at driving school and the phone rang and everyone is amazed on the sweet polyphonic music churned through the speaker. This phone lasted till my first year of studies in Uni.
Mid 2003, most of my peers have already own at least colour screen phone. And thank to my education sponsor for giving me a sum of 3.5k for computer purchase purpose and since I have already own a laptop that time I decided to use part of the fund to purchase a Nokia 6230.

Reason of purchase? I found this phone to cater all my need. The VGA camera, memory expandibility with the memory card slot, rich multimedia option, and better screen.
Sold off this phone for Nokia 6670

Thanks to Ameir who decided to take me to greentown to advice him on which phone to buy for his girlfriend, and I ended up purchasing for myself one. huhu. Reason? even better larger screen, its the Megapixel age, and the phone runs on Symbian which i could find plenty of free-if-you-know-what-i-mean softwares.

Ditch the 6670 for O2 Xda Mini II. I wanted to try the windows mobile during internship. And pretty glad it could sync with the company’s email account. So my morning routine would be plugging in the usb to my phone. Let it download all the email (is not much either) and read it on the go when I went out for breakfast. Hehe

After the Window mobile era I turn myself to the Samsung SGH E720. Its a flipphone, kinda fad that time with koreans and japanese flips. A little bit late joining the flip bandwagon as the earlier version is too fugly to use. Like this phone for the double display, dedicated keys for music though I dont put much music in it to listen to. Huhu.

Then after graduation I bought myself a slider phone, Samsung D900. Reason : razor thin (applicable to that time lah~) sure can find much more slimmer slider at the moment im typing this. Unfortunately slider doesnt fit me well. Ribbons keep on struggling to be replaced. The propietery OS is nice with MMS-like SMS features its just cannot get better. Apart from sluggish performance of processor.

I bought a Nokia e61. Primarily because I dont have internet access at the house Im renting at Lumut, and WiFi is available almost anywhere there. Been eyeing for e71 actually but budget is not on my side. Pretty contented with the QWERTY and large screen.

Nokia 5310 Expressmusic came in to replace the problematic Samsung D900. its a candybar phone, no ribbons involved, its razor thin, have dedicated music player, a 3.5 driver for normal earphone (apart from the popular 2.5 which is not helping on the availability of good earphone) and its an Expressmusic phone.

I replaced the e61 with a Samsung Omnia Pro B7320. It has the same QWERTY keypad though a bit smaller, GPS module which i need and its a window mobile platform so tonnes of *outdated* application is made available at zero pricetag. Grins

The most recent purchase is an LG KM900. A thing i have with capacitive touchscreen got me the urge to have this phone. Camera is decent but the interface is kinda laggy. Holding on to the phone for about 1 month and passed it on to my younger sister.

I wanted to ditch the current Nokia 5310 for an iPhone 4. But series of events have rendered me not possible to do so. Guess I will be getting iPhone 4 on 2011 instead or wait for iPhone 4s to come out first. Lulz
